The centre is a purpose built brand new centre, catering for a maximum of 50 children per day. We have ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout, and cater for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, cared for over three separate rooms and age groups. We are situated next to the St Jakobi Lutheran School on Lyndoch Valley Road between Lyndoch and Williamstown.
We are governed by a Management committee made up of parents, parish, community members, St Jakobi staff and centre Director. We work cooperatively with the Lutheran Church of Australia and St Jakobi Lutheran School. We are members of the Lutheran Schools Association and Community Children’s Centres South Australia (CCCSA).
Our centre is situated on the same campus as the St Jakobi Lutheran School. We have many families that use both services. A number of our children go on to attend the St Jakobi School so we are able to facilitate transitional visits and work cooperatively with the school in serving our community.
We offer a variety of care sessions and aim to cater for the needs of the local community and surrounding areas. Families/care providers come from the towns of Lyndoch, Williamstown and Cockatoo Valley or work in the Barossa Valley region. We are currently able to offer casual bookings until we reach full occupancy which compliments the many types of families that work on rotating shifts in the region.
Our centre is divided into three separate age groups for play environments and learning curriculums. Our Nursery room caters for childrens aged 6 weeks to 2 years. Our Toddler room caters for children aged 2 years to 3 ½ years. Our Kindy room caters for children aged 3 ½ to 5 years.
